This Privacy Policy (‘the Policy’) (together with any other of our terms and conditions, and any other documents referred to in them) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide, will be processed by us. Our registration number with the Information Commissioner’s Office is Z7603090. We will refer to Pytec Limited as (‘Company’, "us", "we", or "our") which operates https://www.pytec.co.uk “the Site”.
The user of our Site and other business or personal contacts that we deal with as clients or candidates are referred to as ‘you’ or ‘your’.
This Policy explains what happens to any personal data that you provide, or that is collected from you as part of our usual business and/or accessing our Site.
We only hold limited client personal data, although we do hold more detailed personal data with regard to our candidates. It is necessary for us as a recruitment business to hold this personal data on candidates for the legitimate interests of our business, in order to find you the right role.
Information we Collect
The Company may collect candidate personal information, including but not limited to your name and contact details, location, IP address and e-mail address, along with other relevant information submitted on our website and information from your curriculum vitae (CV). We also receive your details from online job boards where candidates post their information and other social and professional networks such as LinkedIn where your profile is available in a public forum. This information is held, used and disclosed by us:
- To provide services to you.
- To maintain a business relationship with you, where you are a user of our website, a client or a candidate.
- To enable you to submit your CV for consideration for a specific or a range of positions, or to subscribe to our job alerts. See below for more information on how your CV is stored and how it is used.
- To match your details with job vacancies, to assist us in finding a position that is most suitable for you and to send your personal information (including sensitive personal information) to clients in order to apply for jobs.
- To answer your enquiries.
- We shall not under any circumstances divulge your e-mail address to any person who is not an employee or contractor of ours and who does not need to know, either generally or specifically.
- To fulfil contractual obligations with our clients.
- To enable the development and marketing of other products and services and to improve our customer service and to make our services more valuable to you, this includes the tailoring of our website.
- To third parties where we have retained them to provide services that you or our clients have requested, such as reference, qualification and criminal reference checking services (as required), verification of the details you have provided from third party sources, psychometric evaluations or skills tests.
- To third parties who perform functions on our behalf and who also provide services to us, such as professional advisors, IT consultants carrying out support, testing and development work on our business technology systems, research and mailing companies and function co-ordinators. We expect our third parties to take all reasonable steps to comply with similar privacy requirements and confidentiality as the Company.
- If required by law, for example we are required to release personal information to regulatory or law enforcement agencies. We will also disclose your information where we are permitted and requested to do so by law;
- We may also seek your consent to collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information for any other purpose not listed above.
- Our website may also use a website recording service which can record mouse clicks, mouse movements, page scrolling and any text keyed into website forms. The information collected is stored and is used for aggregated and statistical reporting.
Job Alerts
To subscribe to job alerts emails, you will be required to provide your e-mail address, which will be used for the purpose of keeping you informed, by e-mail, of the latest jobs. Should you decide that you no longer wish to receive this information, unsubscribe links are provided in every job alert email that you receive.
Curriculum vitae ("CV")
Your CV will be stored on our database and will be accessible by our recruitment consultants in the UK. It may also be stored by our website and web services provider Volcanic (https://www.volcanic.co.uk).
You can update your CV and personal details at any time simply by logging into the Users area of our website. Your old CV will automatically be archived providing the registration details remain the same i.e. you submit both CVs using the same email. As a recruitment business we have a legitimate business interest to store limited personal details about you in our database as candidates often return to us on a number of occasions. This assists our business and the level of service that we provide to you to be able to refer back to your details and job placements.
If you do send us your CV or upload this on our website on your own accord, when one of our recruitment consultants have not been in contact with you, then this will be stored on our database as set out above. Our consultants may not contact you directly if there is not a suitable vacancy although we may still hold your details.
Information about our online visitors
We gather information and statistics collectively about all visitors to our website for example, which area users access most frequently and which services users access the most. This information helps us determine what is most beneficial for our users and how we can continually improve our online services to create a better overall experience for our users. We may also publish some of this information. We may also undertake marketing profiling to help us identify services or jobs which may be of interest to you.
The Right to deletion and correction
We try to ensure we have the correct Personal Information on you. You have the right to ask us for a copy of the information supplied by you that we hold. We may ask you to verify your identity and for more information about your request. If you would like to make a request for information, please contact gdpr@pytec.co.uk.
You also have the right to ask the Company to stop using your information. However, if this involves a request for deletion of your file, please be aware that we may not be required or able to do so, particularly where your file also holds information about our clients or financial information that we need to keep for periods of up to six years, i.e. that relate to tax matters. Where we are unable to comply with your request we will provide reasons for failing to do so.
Protecting your information
We will not sell, rent or trade your Personal Information. Other than as set out in this Policy, we shall NOT sell or disclose your personal data to third parties without obtaining your prior consent unless this is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy or unless we are required to do so by law.
Where we store your personal data
All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. We use industry standard security and firewalls on our servers. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards in connection with the collection, storage and disclosure of your information. Only authorised personnel and contractors have access to your information. We will keep personal data secure by taking appropriate technical and organisational measures against its unauthorised or unlawful processing and against its accidental loss, destruction or damage.
Transfers of Data in Europe
Data protection legislation is harmonised throughout the European Economic Area (‘EEA’) which comprises the EU member states, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. Countries outside the EEA do not generally have the same level of protection for personal information as those within the EEA. We do not anticipate the need to transfer personal data in Europe and will not be engaging with the transfer of data outside the EEA.

If you follow a link to any of those websites, please note that those websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for those policies. By submitting limited personal data to us, you accept to our use of your data and of anyone you represent in the manner set out in this Policy (as amended from time to time, as described below) and you are responsible for ensuring that you have authority to agree on behalf of anyone about whom you submit data to us.

Changes to this Policy
This Policy is effective as of May 2018 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.
We reserve the right to update or change this Policy at any time and you should check this Policy periodically. Your continued use of our business after we post any modifications to this Policy will constitute your acknowledgment of the modifications and your consent to abide and be bound by the modified Policy.
